The HIOW vaccination programme is now able to take requests for vaccination appointments FROM HAMPSHIRE RESIDENTS ONLY
Solent NHS Trust is running the vaccination hubs at Oakley Road, Southampton (SO16 4GX); Hamble House, St James Hospital, Portsmouth( PO4 8LD) and Basingstoke Fire Station (RG22 6PH). The vaccination is for staff who have frequent face-to-face contact with patients who are over 50 or are clinically extremely vulnerable and who are directly involved in patient care. Staff who work with children and young people are not eligible at this stage unless the children are clinically extremely vulnerable. Please do not try to book a vaccine if you are not eligible. If you do this will cause our vaccination services additional work and could slow progress down for everyone.
In time, a vaccine will be available for all adults, but at the moment the clear priority is to offer the vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus. Each person is asked to book at one site only and wait to be contacted. Double booking appointments will waste valuable time and resource.
