The Spirometry National Register (the National Register) is a list of practitioners and operators who are certified and demonstrate ongoing competence in the performance and/or clinical reporting of spirometry. We host the National Register for the Association for Respiratory Technology & Physiology ().
Spirometry is a test used to help diagnose and monitor certain lung conditions by measuring how much air you can breathe out in one forced breath.. The National Register is not mandatory but it ensures that all practitioners involved in spirometry have their skills assessed and are certified as competent.
TheSpirometry Certification is the only nationally recognised certification in the performance and interpretation of spirometry, and consequent entry onto the National Register, and is supported by the Care Quality Commission ( ).
