About the Register

Our Higher Specialist Scientist (HSS) part of the register was accredited by the PSA in October 2015.

Accreditation by the PSA demonstrates that the register has achieved their high standards in governance, standard-setting, education and training, management of the register, complaints handling and information.

The HSS Register is open to experienced Biomedical and Clinical Scientists who have successfully completed the Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) programme to enable them to practise at Consultant Healthcare Scientist level.
