Webinar | Office of the Chief Scientific Officer: End of Year Review 2020

Join the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer on the upcoming webinar for all healthcare science staff on Friday 11th December 2020 from 16:00 – 17:00.

This month’s webinar will include an update on COVID-19, an overview of the ‘Healthcare Science People Plan’, and an end of year review.

The webinar will be co-hosted by the Professor Dame Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer for England, and Angela Douglas MBE, Deputy Chief Scientific Officer.

The webinar will end with a Q&A session. We will be taking questions in advance of the webinar so please submit any questions you may have to england.cso@nhs.net by end of day Friday 4th December 2020.

 

Professor Dame Sue Hill is the Chief Scientific Officer for England providing expert clinical scientific advice across the health system and head of profession for the healthcare science workforce in the NHS and associated bodies. She is a respiratory scientist by background with an international academic and clinical research reputation.

 

 

 

Angela Douglas MBE is the Deputy Chief Scientific Officer for England. A Consultant Clinical Scientist by background, Angela has worked in the NHS for over 38 years. She has previously worked as the Scientific Director of the Cheshire and Merseyside Genetics Service and led the North West Coast GMC delivering the 100,000 Genome Project.

This webinar will be hosted on Microsoft Teams as a live event and can be accessed using the following Joining Link.

  1. Please open the Joining Link using Google Chrome
  2. Select the option to ‘watch on the web instead’
  3. You can sign in your details, or join anonymously to access the webinar
  4. There will be a hold screen stating that ‘this event has not started yet’ The webinar is due to commence at 16:00.
