LSI Credentialing Register received NHS Backing – A Step Forward for Patient Safety
Professionals working in the life sciences industry engage with NHS staff and patients on a daily basis, undertaking a variety of important tasks in hospitals and Trusts in diverse areas for example: the maintenance of life-saving technology and the training of clinical staff on new procedures, and other fields of patient care.
These professionals work in the private sector so it’s important that these interactions take place within a professional, ethical and safe framework. The new register, held by the Academy for Healthcare Science, provides assurance for all NHS Trusts that individuals working on their premises have been vetted, their credentials checked and that they are working to a standard which is NHS-approved.
