SRS review cover

The NHS England review has looked at the 12 centres currently offering NHS Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Radiotherapy Services (SRS/SRT)and the the 13 other centres capable of offering the services, both NHS and private providers. It has also noted that there is a significant level of unmet need in the current service provision and that there are issues with the geographic spread of current services.

The consultation document sets out a range of future options, with the preferred option being the delivery of the services through 6-12 centres, seven days a week.

NHS England is now consulting on these proposals with the consultation running through to the closing date of 26 January 2015.
