First ASSP course launched in Neurophysiology at Aston University

The first Accredited Specialist Scientific Practice (ASSP) course has been launched by Aston University – who are offering a postgraduate certificate in Neurophysiology.

Accredited Scientific Practice courses are a core part of the Education, Training and Career framework for Healthcare Science providing elements of additional specialist training at each key career levels.  This is 
Accredited Additional Scientific Practice [AASP] at Bachelors level; 
Accredited Specialist Scientific Practice [ASSP] at Masters level and 
Accredited Expert Scientific Practice [AESP] at Doctoral level.

The Aston Neurophysiology ASSP course is a one-year part time course designed to provide the neurophysiology workforce with the ability to meet specific workforce needs in nerve conduction and EMG as well as paediatric and intensive care EEG. The course starts in October 2014.
