Changing how healthcare education is funded

A government consultation on planned changes to healthcare education funding has been launched by the Department of Health and can be found here.

Interested organisations and the public are being asked to contribute to the consultation which will look at how the changes can best be implemented. This includes looking at opportunities for students applying for nursing, midwifery and allied health professional training as a second degree to be eligible for a student loan.

You are encouraged to give your views. The consultation will run until 30th June 2016

The President of the Academy will, following a discussion at the next Professional Council meeting, look to send a response from a One Voice perspective.
