The workshops are looking at three particular pathways:

  • Heart Failure (1 Jun, am)
  • Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (1 Jun, pm)
  • Bowel Cancer (3 Jun, am)

to inform a strategy to improve the quality of scientific & diagnostic commissioning information. The objective of the work is to explore the current position related to these pathways and identify the transformational opportunities for the scientific and diagnostic components of these pathways to improve clinical outcomes through; new models of care, new ways of commissioning and the barriers and levers to make this happen. The strategy will then identify the information available and needed to support commissioners and providers to achieve this change.

The organisers are looking to bring together clinical professionals and managers from the following groups:

  • Healthcare Scientists related to providing the scientific tests involved in each of the  pathways
  • Commissioners who commission services related to these pathways
  • Clinicians and multidisciplinary professionals involved in providing the scientific and diagnostic tests involved in these pathways (for example: consultants, GPs, specialist nurses, specialist practitioners)
  • Network leads  (For example Clinical & Quality Network leads)

Full details are available in the invite flyer for the event.

Spaces at the workshops are limited – to register your interest please email michelle.spencer-williams@nhs.net or call Michelle on 0113 824 9220 by Friday 15 May 2015.
