Government Launches Men’s Health Strategy for England

The Department of Health and Social Care has published the Men’s Health Strategy for England, outlining a 10-year vision to improve the health and wellbeing of men and boys across the country.

This landmark strategy sets out key actions to tackle health inequalities, promote early intervention, and address conditions that disproportionately affect men. It follows an extensive call for evidence held between April and July 2025, which gathered insights from healthcare professionals, charities, and the public.

The strategy focuses on:

  • Preventative health measures to reduce avoidable illness.
  • Mental health support tailored for men and boys.
  • Improved access to services and targeted outreach for vulnerable groups.

By prioritising men’s health, the government aims to close gaps in life expectancy and ensure better outcomes for future generations.
