The Advancing Healthcare Awards Northern Ireland 2025 took place on 23 October at the Stormont Hotel, Belfast, honouring healthcare scientists, allied health professionals and those who work alongside them for their outstanding contributions to patient care and service improvement. The event was hosted by Tara Mills (BBC NI) with guest speaker Mike Nesbitt, Minister of Health, and showcased projects driving innovation, collaboration, and better patient care across Northern Ireland.

The overall winner wasOrla Morrow and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service for “Narrowing the search – Maternity and Paediatric equipment within NIAS”. Judges praised its scalability, cost-effectiveness, and significant impact on patient safety and staff wellbeing.
