National Survey | The role of exercise physiologists in the NHS
Exercise Physiologists are taking on an increasing role in clinical care, particularly in Prehabilitation and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). Yet, pathways into these roles and opportunities for skill development remain highly variable. A new Level 7 qualification is being explored to provide structured training through academic study and hospital placements, within the area of CPET and Prehabilitation.
The CPET & Prehab Team: Medway NHS Foundation Trust are seeking views from Exercise Physiologists, Cardiac and Respiratory Physiologists and departments to understand workforce journeys, current skill sets, career progression, and support needs. Your feedback will directly help shape the future of training and professional development.
