  • NIHR Respiratory TRC

The Respiratory Translation Research Collaboration (Respiratory-TRC) brings together leading internationally recognised investigators in the UK’s foremost centres of excellence to collaborate on delivering experimental and early phase research with industry, charities and other funders. Together we can design and deliver complex multi-centre studies that accelerate research for the benefit of respiratory disease patients.

  • Respiratory-TRC hosts the National Research Strategy Groups (NRSGs). These are disease specific workgroups with the potential for to collaborate with industry and others across respiratory disease priority areas in translational research and early phase experimental medicine. Respiratory TRC has set-up 6 nationwide National Research Strategy Groups (NRSGs) to identify key research priorities and develop strategies to overcome barriers and promote collaborative working to deliver multi-centre studies. Their membership is wide reaching across multiple sites, well beyond the 13 key R-TRC centres.
