The Academy Professional Council is made up of representatives of all relevant Healthcare Science groups. Those who pay the levy to run the Council One Voice have voting rights, whereas observer status only is possible for non-levy paying groups. Their opinion may be considered, but any outcomes will only reflect the opinion of the paid-up organisations/professional bodies.
The Council is tasked with predominantly One Voice issues and may respond to consultations, plan and develop work streams (workforce reviews, statements, policies) to promote the role of Healthcare Science and scientists in the devolved UK healthcare systems.
Criteria for Professional Council Membership
Any application from a Professional Body who wishes to join the Council, either as a fully paid up member, or as observer status, will be considered by the President and the Council. In the first instance, email firstname.lastname@example.org to express an interest. Full membership terms can be found in the Criteria for Professional Council Membership document below.
