HEE has been commissioned by the Minister of State for Care, Helen Whatel

HEE has been commissioned by the Minister of State for Care, Helen Whately, to work with our partners and review long term strategic trends for the health and social care workforce. This will review, renew and update the existing long term strategic framework for the health workforce, HEE’s Framework 15, to help ensure we have the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours to deliver world leading clinical services and continued high standards of patient care. For the first time ever, the framework will also include registered professionals working in social care, like nurses and occupational therapists.

Further information is available in the attached Press Release

HEE will shortly issue a ’Call for Evidence’ to identify the factors that may have the greatest impact on demand for the health and social care sector over the next fifteen years, and what this means for the workforce supply, to support patients and the population of the future. We encourage you to respond to this Call for Evidence and to join our future consultation events in the autumn and winter.
