Webinar | Office of the Chief Scientific Officer: COVID-19 Variants of Concern
Join the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer on the upcoming webinar for all healthcare science staff on Friday 26th February 2021 from 16:30 – 17:30.
This month’s webinar will focus on the different COVID-19 variants and the implications of new variants on vaccination, testing and the overall spread of the virus.
The Office of the Chief Scientific Officer will also launch 2021 Healthcare Science Awards.
The webinar will be co-hosted by the Professor Dame Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer for England, Angela Douglas MBE, Deputy Chief Scientific Officer, and Melanie Smith Scientific Advisor, COVID-19 Technical Validation, Department of Health and Social Care.
The webinar will end with a Q&A session. We will be taking questions in advance of the webinar so please submit any questions you may have to england.cso@nhs.net by end of day Wednesday 24th February 2021.
Webinar hosts:
Professor Dame Sue Hill is the Chief Scientific Officer for England providing expert clinical scientific advice across the health system and head of profession for the healthcare science workforce in the NHS and associated bodies. She is a respiratory scientist by background with an international academic and clinical research reputation.
