The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is currently looking for a new Chair and five new members to join the Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) in the following areas: pharmacogenomics/pharmacogenetics; in clinical pharmacology/ pharmacovigilance;  epidemiology and clinical trials; a nurse specialist;  an expert in pharmacy and standards and a toxicologist. We may also require additional expertise of a psychiatrist.

CHM is a statutory committee which advises UK Health Ministers/the Licensing Authority on matters relating to the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines and on adverse reactions to marketed products.  The Department of Health values and promotes diversity and is committed to equality of opportunity for all.
