New opportunity for healthcare scientists working in cancer diagnostics in London

  • Are you a healthcare scientist or cancer systems professional in London with a workplace challenge around cancer diagnostics?
  • Would you like time and support from peers to consider these challenges and think about different ways of tackling them?

If you answered yes to these questions I would like to invite you to take part in the Action Learning in London Cancer Diagnostics group. This small group will be a mixture of healthcare scientists and cancer system professionals working in London, supported by an experienced action learning facilitator. More information on the action learning approach can be found here: http://www.actionlearningteams.co.uk/action_learning.html

The action learning method is being explored as part of the HEE (London) funded Healthcare Science Fellowship Pilot. The work offers a professional development opportunity for the participants and a multidisciplinary approach to tackling system challenges in key patient pathways, the diagnosis of cancer in this case. After taking part participants will be asked to complete a short evaluation questionnaire of the approach. Learning from these Fellowships will support Service Transformation as outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.

The venues will be based in Angel Islington and Waterloo. Action learning is an iterative approach consisting of one afternoon session each month, so please consider your availability on the following dates to take part.
