Tribute – Barbara Wood

The AHCS has received the very sad news that Barbara Wood, a long-standing friend of healthcare science and the Academy has died after a long illness. She was a strong patient advocate, ensuring that the healthcare science profession included patients at the heart of all they did. For this she received the AHCS Chairman’s Recognition Award in November 2018. She will be missed by her friends at the Academy and many in the profession.
