Christmas Message from Chief Executive, Janet Monkman
Dear Reader,
This has been an immensely busy year for the Academy. I would like to take the opportunity to thank those of you who find the time to offer your support as assessors, advisors and ambassadors, even with huge personal workloads. There are many of your colleagues who benefit from your input and advice and on their behalf, I do want to say how much this is appreciated.
The President has highlighted the input from professional bodies and their input into the One Voice work. In addition, there are many other professional bodies who have also worked closely with us to look at better ways of supporting their members with equivalence and registration. Therefore, we have seen a big increase in the number of people going through the equivalence process at all levels and a further increase in the number of registrants on our Accredited Register, so again many thanks to those of you who have been involved in this.
The Academy covers the four countries of the UK. We would like to thank Health Education England and NHS England for their support and involvement in the work of The Academy and in addition NHS Education for Scotland, the Welsh Government, who have contributed to this month’s Vox, and of course Northern Ireland. Each country will be contributing to Vox in 2018.
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year
Janet Monkman
