IQIPS Training Day Roundup & Next Event

Unknown-3

On June 13 2016, the IQIPS programme hosted a training day at the Royal College of Physicians. The day was aimed at services in the early stages of their journey towards accreditation. Twenty three services attended the day, representing Audiology, Cardiac, Neurophysiology, Respiratory and Sleep and Vascular disciplines.

The day covered the quality improvement pathway, a demonstration of the SAIT and practical discussions of the different domains that IQIPS covers.

Lynne Smith, the Clinical Manager of the IQIPS accredited GI unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospital spoke to the group. Lynne provided her advice and experience of the quality improvement process and using the SAIT. Lynne’s insight and presentation were very well received by the group, and her key messages are can be found here.

The services who attended reported back that they found the day useful, with 100% stating that there were no sessions that they would remove or add from future workshops.

Some of the comments from the services that attended the day include:

Excellent course.  Really useful to interact with others from different departments to try to decide ways that we can improve our practise.

Very useful workshop, really good incentive to start the process which doesn’t look nearly as scary now!

Great help and a welcoming team leaves me happy to carry on and pick up the phone when I need help.

The next training day is being held on Thursday 15 September in London at the RCP. To book your place on this day please visit www.iqips.org.uk and register under Training Days.

Please contact the IQIPS team at  if you have any questions.
