Update on the HSS Equivalence process – September 2015
An update on the progress on the first wave of the Higher Specialist Scientific equivalence project.
The AHCS has had a fantastic response following the call in August for early implementers for its Higher Specialist Scientific equivalence project in August.
We were overwhelmed by senior clinical scientists who wanted to be the first to map their experience and knowledge against the HSS Standards of Proficiency and, as a result we have decided to respond by including more candidates in the pilot than we initially planned. For practical purposes, the pilot is limited to a few specialisms but we hope to expand this when we have a full rollout of HSS Equivalence programme in Spring 2016
