Congratulations go to Val Davison and Dr Jacqui Lunday Johnstone who were recognised in the 2015 New Year’s Honours
Val Davison was awarded the MBE as Lead Scientist, West Midlands. For services to Genomic Technologies. Val is currently Scientific Adviser to the National School for Healthcare Science after having been head of the School. Prior to that she was a Consultant Clinical Scientist in genetics and Clinical Director of the West Midlands Regional Genetics Service and Head of the Laboratory for over 20 years.
Jacqui Lunday Johnstone was awarded the OBE as Chief Health Professions Officer Scottish Government. For services to Healthcare and the Health Care Professions. Jackie has been the professional leader for Healthcare Science (and the allied health professions) in Scotland as CHPO since 2006, providing advice to Ministers and the Government on professional matters including education, training, regulation and role/service development.
