Forging a collaboration on Registration and Regulation
A positive and productive meeting was held with representatives of the Professional Bodies across Physiological Science, the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists and the Academy for Healthcare Science on 6 June 2014.
The outcome of the meeting was that the Professional Bodies are looking for a collaboration on the approach to regulation.
Underlying this are three actions:
- To determine the status of Assured Voluntary Regulation with regard to future Statutory Regulation.
- To look at a joint approach for movement towards Statutory Regulation with a number of strands to this
- To provide clarity on how we move currently registered members into the appropriate levels of Registration
