Genetics trainees first to achieve equivalence

All the Genetics trainees who completed the Scientist Training Programme in 2012 have become the first group to complete the equivalence process run by the Academy.
This is a three-step process involving,  initial application, preparation of their portfolio and assessment following through review of the portfolio and face to face interview.

After successful completion of this process, the trainees were granted Certificates of Equivalence by the AHCS – which  demonstrates their ability to meet the outcomes expressed in Good Scientific Practice interpreted in the context of the relevant and current MSC curriculum document.

Having gained their Certificates of Equivalence, all of the group have gone on to become formally registered as Clinical Scientists with the HCPC.
