Have your say on the operation of professional bodies in major new survey
Organisations are being asked to have their say in the triennial research study into the operation of the bodies representing all of the nations professions – including those across Healthcare Science.
The Professional Body Benchmarking Survey is the major project carried out by the cross-sector Professional Associations Research Network (PARN) – the Bristol-based body that looks into the issues affecting all the country’s professional bodies, no matter what their specialist area is.
The project looks into 3 key areas:
- Membership
- Governance & Operations
- CPD & Education.
This year, PARN are carrying out separate surveys into each area to allow the most relevant member of professional body teams to complete the data.
The survey enables professional bodies to compare their operations with other organisations across range of key areas including:
- Governance roles & the governing body
- Managing volunteers
- Structuring committees
- Internal operations
In return for taking part, all organisations taking the survey receive a full report of benchmarking information.
