HCPC extends search for Bioinformatics Experts. Closing Date 19 Dec.

The Health and Care Professions Council havc extended their search for Clinical Bioinformatics experts, particularly  to help with review of the STP Curriculum. Revised closing date for applications is 19 December 2014.

HCPC visitors are individuals who assess courses to decide whether they meet HCPC standards. They visit education providers and write reports which inform the HCPC Education and Training committee when it makes decisions about programme approvals. The HCPC has a current requirement for visitors across the specialisms of Clinical Bioinformatics (in Genomics; Health informatics sciences and Physical sciences) with a view to assessing the current Scientist Training Programme curriculum.  The HCPC has reviewed its requirements f0r visitors in this specialism as it was unable to recruit people with sufficient knowledge of Clinical Bioinformatics who were currently registered as Clinical Scientists.

The role is expected to take up between 1 – 3 working days up to May 2015, and is remunerated by a meeting fee of £180 per day plus expenses. Full training for successful candidates will be provided by the HCPC.
