Physiology, Physics or Engineering scientists sought for places on NICE diagnostics committee
NICE are recruiting for new members for their Diagnostics Advisory Committee, with applications sought from Healthcare Scientists working in physiology, medical physics or clinical engineering. Closing date 21 November 2014.
The NICE Diagnostics Advisory Committee considers and interprets evidence on the clinical and cost effectiveness of diagnostic technologies as defined in the relevant EU directives, and formulates recommendations to the Institute on their use in the NHS. Diagnostic technologies within the Committee’s remit include pathological tests, imaging, endoscopy and physiological measurement.
Applications are particularly sought from Healthcare Scientists working in physiology, medical physics or clinical engineering, as there is already strong representation from doctors and pathology specialisms on the committee.
Advisory Committee meetings are held on a monthly basis in central Manchester. NICE are looking to recruit individuals who would be available from April 2015 onwards.
Full details of the role and the recruitment process can be found on the NICE website. Closing date 21 November 2014.
