Academic internships on offer to scientists on AHCS Register – apply by 19 Nov.

Health Education England Northern Region is offering 15 Clinical Academic Training Programme internship awards  to Healthcare Scientists who are on the Academy Register as part of the delivery of the HEE Research and Innovation Strategy.

Health Education North are offering funding to support a training programme for range of  eligible professions (including) Healthcare scientists part of HEE’s recently published research and innovation strategy. This includes scientists on the Academy Register and HCPC-registered Healthcare Scientists.

The internships are designed to increase the number of staff accessing academic career programmes across all clinical and public health profession. This will to provide an introduction into all aspects and roles across clinical academic research from trial design, data management through to undertaking research in a clinical environment. The main focus of the internships is on registered health professionals who do not already hold a research qualification.

Full details of the internships, the training arrangements and how to apply  are set out in the  Applicant Guidance Notes. Applications must be submitted by 19 Nov 2014.
