Academy contributes to Government's Science Innovation Strategy
The Academy has responded to the Government’s development of a Science Innovation Strategy on behalf of the Healthcare Science profession
The government-wide strategy is being developed by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and covers all aspects of science in the UK, including industry, academia and the public sector. The Academy set out the contribution that Healthcare Scientists currently provide and the barriers to the profession contributing more – including providing support within scientists contracts and CPD and the balance between curiosity-driven research and research to tackle practical issues.
