The Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Sue Hill OBE, has written out to Healthcare Scientists asking for nominations for the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2015.  The CSO is looking for nominations for people who work for, volunteer or have made an outstanding contribution at any level within Healthcare Science.

The Official Guidance on nominations says:

Anyone can be nominated for an honour by anyone else – for example it could be a colleague impressed by the work of another; a trust board wanting recognition for an outstanding volunteer or leader; or perhaps a healthcare charity that wants to acknowledge an exceptional colleague. Status or seniority isn’t important – what matters is what the person has done and the impact they have had on people’s health and care over a sustained period of time.

If you know of someone who should be recognised through the honours system, please send their details to michelle.spencer-williams@nhs.net in the CSO’s office by 15 Aug 2014. If  you have any questions regarding the honours please do not hesitate to email or call Michelle on 0113 824 9220.
